GUESS WHO?

Who does not know the game " Guess Who ? " or "Who is who ? " ?. It has been and remains a very popular game in recent decades and today. The dynamics of the game is simple: couples, a pupil chooses a character among which we provided at the bottom template and their opponent have to go asking questions like " Have you got long hair Have you got big eyes ? " until you get to guess what character it is.

To play this game in class you need to print two copies of the previous image. You can fine plasticizing a board and cut it in another form of cards , so that one of the students can choose their character . With this activity we can work vocabulary concerning physical description, amounts and proportions and personal emotions.

With this activity we will work vocabulary referring to different emotions. We will use a die that has a set of cards with a picture of a face expressing an emotion and its corresponding name in English. It would be suitable to printi the following image in large, for example in DinA -4 size or cardboard. Then children can cut them and assemble themselves. Immediately, we can start to play.

You can play with them in various ways :

1. Throwing the dice and imitating the emotion that it reflects.

 

2. A child throws the dice in secret, with the help of the teacher, and performs the corresponding emotion of the picture. Other partners should guess what emotion is performing.

 

3. First, we roll the dice, and depending on the emotion that reflects, we can talk about the situation that evokes that feeling.

For example: When are you happy? I 'm happy playing with my mates at school.

 

Through gestures of these emotions the child better assimilate this new vocabulary. It is ideal for working in small groups or large group.

 

The dice have 12 pictures emotions upset, happy, sad, surprised, worried, left out, loved, embarrassed, included, angry, proud and scared .
