Our colourful world

Hello pupils! We are the astronauts Maria and Alejandra and our dog Tobby. We are going to tell a story about our adventure in the space. In this trip we are going to see a lot of colourful planets. Our mission here ir to find another dog that wants to be our friend.

 

Tobby: Do you want to come with us? Perfect! First we have to get on the spaceship. Then we have to put the belt. Are you ready for take off?

 

Astronaut 1: Okey, so close your eyes and repeat with us the countdown.

 

All: Five, four, three, two, one, zerooo. Hold on! GO!!!

 

Astronaunt 2: Wow! Open your eyes, we are in the space! We are loking for animals in space.

 

Astronaut 1: Tobby sees a planet. Everything on this planet is red.

 

Tobby: Look at this forest. Look at the red sky and the red clouds. There is a red volcano to. There is only one animal, the crab. (Who has the crab?). But there aren't any dogs here.

 

All: Hi crab!

 

Crab: Hello! What are you doing here?

 

Astronaunt 1: We are looking for a dog. And you?

 

Crab: I live here. I'm the boss of the Red Planet. Sorry, here there aren't dogs.

 

 

Pre-telling

First of all, we are going to present us to the class. Then we are going to teach the children vocabulary related to our story. For do this activity we are going to use some flashcards that teach they colors and animals.

The colors that we are going to show they are: blue, red, yellow, green, pink, orange, brown, grey and white.

And the animals are: duck, frog, crab, dog, monkey, dolphin, elephant and pig.

When we finish to show them all the flashcards and they have repeat it, we are going to give to the children some little cards that have different animals for help us during the story.

While-telling

Secondly, in this part we are going to involve our pupils in the story. For make this they have to help us during our adventure in the space saying what animal appears in each planet. So, when we ask the question: “Who has the crab” (for example), they have to raise his hand and show it to the class. The same with all the other animals.

Post-telling

Finally, when we had finished our story about our colourful world, we are going to perform the last game. In this activity we are going to say the names of different animals and they have to stand up and put each animal little card (that we had distribute before) in the correct cardboard, depending of the story and while watching in the color of the animal.
