The gruffalo

Pre-telling

Activity: follow the route.
 

We have adapted this activity to our story. The activity consists of present all the animals from the story.

First the teacher distributed to each student a map of a forest. This forest follows the route of the story and there appear the animals of it.

The teacher will give instructions and the main character will encounter with the others characters.

The objective of this activity is to recognize the different animals that appear in the story and have a mental scheme of the sequences.

Activity: describe "the gruffalo"
 

During the story appears the physical description of the gruffalo several times.We have to ask students to help us to describe it when we say:

A GRUFFALO? WHAT'S A GRUFFALO? A GRUFFALO! WHY DIDN'T YOU KNOW?
